PUYALLUP, Wash. -- Puyallup Police are asking for the public s help in the cold case investigation of Misty Copsey.
Copsey vanished from the Puyallup Fair on September 17, 1992.
The police department on Friday renewed their request for anyone who attended the fairgrounds to turn in any pictures or video from that day. They are hoping new leads and the use of social media will help bring new information about the day Copsey disappeared 21 years ago.
The main musical event at the fair that day was Huey Lewis and the News.
Anything is better than nothing, said Misty's mother Diana Smith.
Smith said she's glad detectives are trying to find new ways to come up with clues in a 21-year-old case.
She believes her daughter was murdered, but she would like Misty's remains found and returned to her.
To have her home so I could be with her and comfort her, said Smith. That means the world to me and that would be all I could ask.
Puyallup Detective Don Bourbon said detectives came up with the idea while brainstorming ways to find new clues.
We're not looking for pictures of your family, Bourbon said, but she may be in the background, somebody she was with may have been in the background.

Police have also released an updated age-progression photo of what Misty Copsey might look like.
