SEATTLE — Vice Presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will be in the Seattle area Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Washington State Democratic Party announced on Wednesday.
Walz is slated to attend a private event at 9 a.m. in Hunts Point, a town north of Medina on the Eastside.
"With ballots already being cast in some states, it is more important than ever that we explain our vision for an opportunity economy that doesn't just help families get by, but helps them get ahead," the Democratic Party said in a prepared statement. "We look forward to helping Governor Walz make that case in the closing weeks of this election."
Specific details on Walz' trip have not been released.
The trip to King County follows the Oct. 1 debate between Walz and Ohio Republican Senator and Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance. The debate was the first encounter between the two followed the July debate between the Presidential candidates Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
