SAN JUAN COUNTY, Wash. — Track Nov. 5, 2024, general election results for the biggest races across Island and San Juan counties, including education and public safety levies, county council members and county commissioners.
An initial round of election returns will be released shortly after 8 p.m. on Election Day. These returns are from ballots that were turned in early and tabulated. However, counties will release additional results in the days after the election as more ballots are counted. Additional results are typically released daily.
The County Canvassing Board will certify and transmit election results Nov. 26. The last day for the secretary of state to certify the primary election results is Dec. 5.

Here are the results for Island County's tax measures and levies, focused on education and public safety.
Commissioner races
These are the results for the Island County commissioner races. In the race for District 1 is Democrat incumbent Melanie Bacon against Democrat Marie Shimada. In the District 2 race, Democrat Christina Elliott is taking on Republican incumbent Jill Johnson in a seat that serves the greater Oak Harbor area.
San Juan County
San Juan County residents will be voting on two county council seats as well as a real estate tax that would fund conservation areas.
