2024 primary election results for San Juan, Island counties

Voters will decide on some of the top races in Island and San Juan counties.

SAN JUAN COUNTY, Wash. — Track Aug. 6, 2024, primary election results for the biggest races across Island and San Juan counties, including council and commissioner positions as well as levies that impact library and emergency services.

An initial round of election returns will be released shortly after 8 p.m. on Election Day. These returns are from ballots that were turned in early and tabulated. However, counties will release additional results in the days after the election as more ballots are counted. Additional results are typically released daily.

The County Canvassing Board will certify and transmit election results Aug. 20. The last day for the secretary of state to certify the primary election results is Aug. 23.

The two top vote-getters during the August primary advance to the November general election.

Ballot measures such as levy renewals or increases typically take effect within 12 months of voter approval.

San Juan County-wide election results

Voters will decide on levies that impact funding for the library system and the Lopez Island School District.

San Juan County candidate election results

Voters will decide on two San Juan County Council residency positions.

Island County-wide election results

Island County residents will decide on authorizing an EMS levy and lifting property taxes for fire and EMS services.

Island County candidate election results

Voters will decide on two county commissioner positions.

Congressional and legislative races

Voters will decide on Congressional District 2 as well as a number of legislative races.
