THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — Track Aug. 6, 2024, primary election results for the biggest races across Thurston and Lewis counties, including county commissioners in both countries, fire and EMS levies, and eight state legislative races.
An initial round of election returns will be released shortly after 8 p.m. on Election Day. These returns are from ballots that were turned in early and tabulated. However, counties will release additional results in the days after the election as more ballots are counted. Additional results are typically released daily.
The County Canvassing Board will certify and transmit election results Aug. 20. The last day for the secretary of state to certify the primary election results is Aug. 23.
The two top vote-getters during the August primary advance to the November general election.
Ballot measures such as levy renewals or increases typically take effect within 12 months of voter approval.
Lewis County-wide election results
Voters will decide races for two county commissioners and a county PUD commissioner as well as levies for fire and EMS services.
Thurston County-wide election results
Voters will decide races for two county commissioners and a levy for county fire services.
Congressional and legislative races
Voters will decide races in Congressional District 3, where Republican Joe Kent is looking for a rematch of the November 2022 against Democratic incumbent Marie Gluesenkamp Perez. In District 10, Marilyn Strickland is running for reelection.
