SEATTLE — Track vote totals in the presidential race by county on KING 5's exclusive interactive map during the November general election in Washington state.
An initial round of election returns is expected to be released shortly after 8 p.m. on election day. These returns are from ballots that were turned in early and tabulated.
Counties will release additional results in the days after the election as more ballots are counted. Additional results are typically released daily.
On the map below, click individual counties to see a breakdown of the results between the top two vote getters by county.
While the interactive county-by-county map shows just the top two vote getters in the presidential race, there are 10 candidates on the ballot in Washington state.
The presidential and vice presidential candidates appear in this order on the ballot:
- Kamala D. Harris/Tim Walz (Democratic Party)
- Donald J. Trump/J.D. Vance (Republican Party)
- Robert F. Kennedy Jr./Nicole Shanahan (We The People Party)
- Jill Stein/Rudolph Ware (Green Party)
- Claudia De la Cruz/Karina Garcia (Socialism and Liberation Party)
- Rachele Fruit/Dennis Richter (Socialist Workers Party)
- Joseph Kishore/Jerry White (Socialist Equality Party)
- Chase Oliver/Mike ter Maat (Libertarian Party)
- Cornel West/Melina Abdullah (Justice For All Party)
- Shiva Ayyadurai/Crystal Ellis (Independent)
The order of the major political parties -- Republican and Democrat -- is determined by the number of the votes for this race in the previous election, according to state law. In 2020, Joe Biden received the most votes as the Democratic candidate in Washington, so the Democrats appear first in 2024.
The order of independent and minor party candidates, which following the major parties, is determined by the order of their qualification with the secretary of state.
