Washington State has not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1984, but that's not stopping Donald Trump from returning for a campaign rally later this month.
The GOP nominee plans to visit the Seattle area for a combined fundraiser and rally on August 30.
"We absolutely know that Mr. Trump has committed to me, personally that he will be here," said Benton. "He was so well received when he visited Spokane and Lynden; he's really looking forward to seeing the people of Washington again."
The visit is one of several West Coast stops for the Trump Victory campaign, according to The Washington Post. Trump will visit Napa, Calif., San Francisco, Seattle and Portland from August 29 to 31. The Trump Victory is a joint fundraising committee that raises money for Trump, the RNC and 11 state party committees.
The fundraiser planned for Seattle includes big names in Washington real estate, including local developer Clyde Holland.
The invitation, attached below, also names billionaire investor Ken Fisher, of Fisher Investments as one of the hosts.
Ticket prices are listed from $2,700 to $100,000 per couple, which includes a VIP meeting and reception.
Details of the public rally have not yet been released.
Trump visited Washington back in May, when he spoke to supporters in the small farming town of Lynden, about 100 miles north of Seattle, and in Spokane.
