The wiener dogs were back at Emerald Downs on Sunday.

Twenty-four dachshunds took over the race track from the horses for the 19th annual Kent and Alan Wiener Dog Races.

Returning first and second place finishers, Lucy Lu and Reggie, were back to defend the titles they have held since 2007.

But it was Kirby of Granite Falls who made it to the Wiener Circle. Kirby won a year's worth of doggie treats and his owner won an overnight getaway.

The dogs came from all over Western Washington.
