TACOMA - The Velvet Hippo is back in town!
A rescued dog named Angel is winning hearts and minds in the battle to end abuse and discrimination against pitbulls.
"They're sweet, and gentle and intelligent," said Angel's human companion, comedian and actress Rebecca Corry of Kent, a cast member in the upcoming NBC sitcom "One Big Happy."
Rebecca founded the Stand Up for Pits Foundation, and organized the Million Pibble March earlier this year in the nation's capital.
"We made US history," said Corry.
You can see Rebecca on stage and get a kiss from Angel at the third annual Stand Up for Pits performance Sunday at the Tacoma Comedy Club, supported by Forgotten Dogs Rescue and Motley Zoo Animal Rescue.
