PULLMAN, Wash. --Pullman Police confirm a student fell from a 2nd story balcony and landed on his head.

19-year-old Griffin Healey was originally taken to Pullman Regional then transferred to a Sacred Heart where he is listed in critical condition.

The fall happened around 1:00 a.m. Sunday at the Lambda Chi Alpha House on Colorado Street.

Witnesses told Pullman Police that Healey, a member of the fraternity, was trying to sit on a railing when he lost his balance and fell backwards.

Chris Tennant with Pullman Police said Healey fell one full floor and hit his head on rocks or a retaining wall. Healey was breathing but unconscious when officers arrived.

School officials say alcohol was involved.

No charges are expected to be filed. Tennant said he believed this was the third fall at WSU this fall.
