SEATTLE — Evening looks forward to visiting the Seattle International Auto Show every year because former Evening photographer Tom Voelk is now an award winning automotive journalist, and a spokesperson for the show. He showed us some of this year's highlights.

"I'm excited that there are so many more EVs here, literally twice as many as there were last year," Voelk said. 'In fact, Chevy has the Blazer and the Equinox EVs, if you are interested in seeing those, they won't be out for another nine months to a year, so it's your only opportunity to see them."

There are also plenty of gas powered cars here that inspire fantasy.

"Everybody loves the exotics. We have Lamborghinis, and Bentleys and Ferarris, we have the new Chevrolet Corvette, there's really something for everyone," Voelk said.

Like a Family Fun Zone where kids can test battery operated cars on a track made just for them. And Avants Then & Now exhibit features vintage Datsuns, Porsches, and Broncos next to their modern day counterparts — enough to get everyone remembering their first car.

The show is open to the public Thursday, Nov. 10 through Sunday, Nov. 13 at Lumen Field Event Center, 800 Occidental Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98134. Show hours: Thursday, Nov. 11, 12 p.m. – 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sunday, Nov 14, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Ticket prices are $17 for adults and $15 for senior citizens (62+). Compliments of BECU, Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult all show days. Admission for military (with any DOD ID) is $15. Discount parking is available at the T-Mobile Garage by pre-purchasing parking space when purchasing an e-ticket.
