SEATTLE — It’s a summer block party you might not have heard of. I’m talking about the latest exhibit at Seattle’s Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), “Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks.”
Visitors will see some of the most dazzling and innovative skyscrapers with the world’s most popular building brick, LEGO Bricks. You can see astonishing skyscrapers from North America, Asia and Australia constructed by Ryan McNaught. He’s one of only 21 LEGO certified professionals in the world.
Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks includes:
- Burj Khalifa
- Bank of America Plaza
- Crown Sydney
- Central Park Tower
- Chrysler Building
- Empire State Building
- Eureka Tower
- Infinity International Commerce Centre
- Marina Bay Sands
- Petronas Twin Towers
- Shanghai Tower
- Taipei 101
- Tokyo Sky Tree
- Willis (Sears) Tower
- Wilshire Grand Center
But don’t worry if you are hands-on human like me – you also get the chance to build. They have over 200,000 loose LEGOS available in construction areas. Young kids and young at heart can go to town.
There were some other interesting facts I thought were cool, too. Towers of Tomorrow is made up of more than 577,000 bricks and it took nearly six months of constant construction to make this happen at MOHAI. If you are wondering which tower has the most bricks, check out the Shanghai Tower, which comes in at 104,800.

The exhibit continues through September 29.
