SEATTLE — The Seattle Times “Best in the PNW” poll asks readers to vote on their favorite things in the Pacific Northwest. Muckleshoot Casino Resort earned top honors in more than a dozen categories.
“It’s special because our players, our guests vote on it,” said Robert Dearstine, Muckleshoot’s executive director of marketing. “They take the time out of their schedule. They vote.”
Dearstine says the team at Muckleshoot wants guests to have a special experience, including having unique “Muckleshoot moments.”
Muckleshoot Casino Resort was named Best Casino and Best Slots by Seattle Times readers. Dearstine says there are more than 3,500 gaming machines throughout the property, as well as mobile sports betting and table gaming.
“Whatever your gaming choice is, it’s around the property,” he said.
The resort was also awarded Best Hotel. Its hotel opened about a year ago and boasts 401 rooms with impeccable views.
“You’re looking at Mt. Rainier very close up, and it is just gorgeous,” Dearstine said.
Muckleshoot’s Smoke & Cedar Steakhouse earned Best Steakhouse honors and Best Date Night Spot.
“What they do is very intimate, very nice, very high end, and it’s a great experience,” Dearstine said.
The Muckleshoot Events Center also won Best Live Music Venue. There are live music options for everyone in this 1,700-seat venue, including the upcoming Third Eye Blind, Styx and Aaron Lewis concerts.
“Every seat is a great seat when you watch a show,” Dearstine said.
Muckleshoot Casino Resort won various other categories too, and the team celebrated these honors in a big way.
“The team members take pride in what they do,” Dearstine said. “They take pride in delivering the experience to our guests.”
