SEATTLE — Warmer weather is on the horizon, and many people are gearing up to get active and get outside this spring. Verizon has tech to help you make the most of your time and plans to protect your devices while you’re out and about.
The Samsung Galaxy S24+ is a 5G device with a 6.7-inch screen and 50-megapixel camera that will keep you connected anywhere.
“You can take some awesome photos when you’re out hiking and getting out in the new, fresh spring weather that is hopefully coming any second now,” said Heidi Flato, Verizon tech expert.
It also has Circle to Search technology with Google, which uses AI to help you learn more about whatever you’re seeing.
“If you’re out hiking and you see a plant that you’re interested in, or you’re sightseeing and see a monument, you can Circle to Search and get more info on it,” Flato said.
It’s always a good idea to invest in a quality phone case, and the OtterBox Symmetry Case is one option to shield your phone from drops, bumps and dings.
“I wouldn’t go anywhere without a good case on my new phone,” Flato said.
If you’re working on your fitness, the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic is a great option for both beginners and gym enthusiasts. You can get useful performance insights on duration, distance, calories burned and more. The JLab GO Air POP True Wireless Earbuds can be paired with the watch to boost your workout with some motivating tunes.
“You can be hands-free, out and about, getting fit and tracking everything,” Flato said.
The next step is making sure your devices are protected. Verizon Mobile Protect can cover you if your phone is lost, stolen or damaged. It offers cracked screen repair at no extra cost on select smartphones, data recovery, an unlimited number of claims and more.
Verizon Mobile Protect is either $17 or $14 per month per line, depending on the device. Normally, you can only add device protection within 30 days of activating a device, but from now through April 13, existing Verizon customers can sign up for Verizon Mobile Protect or any other device protection option that fits their needs.
“Right now, we’ve got an open enrollment period, so you can add this service or this benefit to any of your active lines as long as they’re in good condition,” Flato said.
You can learn more about Verizon Mobile Protect or any other device protection options on the Verizon website.
