Take your kitchen storage to the next level

Custom glide-out shelving can give you full access to all of your items and improve your organization. Sponsored by ShelfGenie.

SEATTLE — It’s easy to get frustrated in the kitchen when you can’t find an ingredient you need, or you can’t reach that pot or pan you haven’t used in a while.

“What we do is we love bringing people joy and fixing their everyday frustrations by improving their space without the hassle or the expense of a full kitchen remodel,” said ShelfGenie designer Theresa Bowman.

ShelfGenie designs, builds and installs custom pull-out shelves in existing cabinetry. This can transform how you store and access items in your kitchen.

The ShelfGenie team helps you create a pantry with a purpose by first determining how you often use your space or how you hope to use it. Glide-outs can be installed in cabinet, walk-in or closet pantries.

Dividers can also be used to help you easily organize and grab items in high cabinets that are typically hard to reach.

“I like to keep my counter clear, so this is the perfect solution,” Bowman said. “You only have to grab the bottom of it [the pan] to get to what you need.”

Because ShelfGenie’s solutions are custom to your home, glide-outs can be built around plumbing under sinks for items like sponges and cleaning supplies.

“We don’t like wasting vertical space, and we also like to keep countertops clear,” Bowman said.

Blind corner cabinet areas can also easily be updated to ease your frustrations reaching things.

“We like to give the ability to pull out what’s in front so you can access what’s in the back because we call that ‘no man’s land,’” Bowman said.

Special offer: The first 15 New Day callers to 888-848-1372 will receive a free professional design consultation and free installation.
