SEATTLE — It’s hockey season! 🥅 🏒
I love watching the Seattle Kraken. Climate Pledge Arena is iconic and there’s always so much to see and do. I was happy to show one of my good friends the ropes in my latest episode. My friend Elizabeth is a #firsttimer and she was really blown away by how much fun these games can be!
During our visit, we also got to go down to the ice to meet a youth hockey team, the ‘Whatcom Warriors’. Thanks to Premera Blue Cross, one lucky player- Rudy the goalie- got to be mic’d up as he tried to hold his ground during the intermission show.
I met the coach and some other players from the youth hockey team as well and heard about how everyone felt leading up to their big debut on the ice. The kids on this team ranged in age from 7 to 8 years old. Head coach Eric said it’s truly a joy to be around these kids and see them enjoying themselves every day.
I learned a thing or two from these kids and had a blast cheering them on... as well as the Kraken 💙. We ended up losing to the Minnesota Wild that night, but it was still a great experience.
