Former Seahawk Jerramy Stevens arrested on felony assault charge

Former NFL player Jerramy Stevens has been arrested again, this time on a felony battery charge.

TAMPA, Fla. Former NFL player Jerramy Stevens has been arrested again, this time on a felony battery charge.

Stevens played for the University of Washington, the Seattle Seahawks and, most recently, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Stevens was at a Tampa bar Thursday night when he became unruly and was asked to leave by bouncers, according to tampabay.com. The report says Stevens refused and punched two of them, possibly breaking the jaw of one of the bouncers.

Stevens was taken into custody. His bail was set at $2,500 and was released from jail.

Stevens football career began in Washington; from high school, through college and into his first NFL job.

Stevens, 31, has had multiple problems with the law during his career.

In Washington, he faced an assault charge as a high school senior, he was arrested for reckless driving as a UW sophomore and was arrested but never charged for investigation of sexual assault, according to published news reports over the years.

As a Seattle Seahawk, Steven was arrested for DUI.

He was arrested in Arizona in 2008, and convicted of extreme DUI.

The Bucs released Stevens, 31, on Oct. 25 after he was arrested on a felony charge of marijuana possession with intent to sell and drug paraphernalia.
