Former Seahawks wide receiver Nate Burleson excelled at football, basketball, and track at O'Dea. On the football field, Burleson had nearly 300 yards receiving and scored on half of his 14 receptions. He was named to an All-State basketball team, and won the 3A state championship in 300 meter hurdles his senior year. Burleson forewent hoops to play football at Nevada, Reno, and was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
