Before an outstanding career at the University of Washington, Brandon Roy was a stud at Garfield – he averaged 22.3 points and 10.4 rebounds as a senior and was named league MVP twice. After four seasons with the Huskies, Roy was a sixth overall draft pick in 2006 by the Timberwolves.
Roy retired in 2011 due to health concerns from a lack of cartilage in his knees, and Garfield retired Roy's jersey last month. Career stats: 18.8 points, 4.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds.
