The best basketball player to come out of Federal Way, Michael Dickerson led the Eagles to back-to-back state tournament appearances in 1993 and 1994, including a third-place Class 4A tournament finish his senior year.
He went on to play college ball at Arizona, where the shooting guard helped lead the Wildcats to a 1997 NCAA championship.
Dickerson was the 14th overall draft pick by the Rockets in 1998, and he retired after five seasons due to injuries, including a groin strain. Career NBA stats: 15.4 points, 2.6 assists, 2.9 rebounds.
