Two former University of Washington football players say the NCAA did not do enough to protect them from concussions.
Johnny Durocher, and Darin Harris filed suit in US District Court in Indiana on Tuesday, and say college football's governing body and helmet maker Riddell failed to protect and educate athletes and coaches on the risks of long term brain damage.
The suit alleges Durocher and Harris developed chronic headaches, chronic dizziness, dementia, and other issues as a result of their playing injuries.
Durocher was knocked out of a game by a concussion in 2006. Harris suffered a similar injury during a Husky game in 2008.
NCAA Spokesperson Stacy Osborn said the organization had not received the complaint so could not comment.
The UW is not named in the suit.
