The Seattle Seahawks have shown an interest in signing free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick in each of the past two years, yet each time they chose to go in a different direction. Kaepernick (and his attorneys) feel collusion is at play, and have made that clear by filing a grievance with the league.
Kaepernick’s attorneys took a deposition from Seahawks general manager John Schneider on Wednesday and one from Seahawks coach Pete Carroll on Thursday. It had been reported they would be among the NFL executives who would be deposed in the grievance.
Colin Kaepernick and his attorneys took depositions in his collusion grievance from Seahawks' HC Pete Carroll today and from GM John Schneider on Wednesday, per source.

Kaepernick’s grievance alleges that NFL owners have colluded to keep him out of the league after he knelt during the national anthem in the 2016 season as a protest of racial injustice.
The executives chosen were selected based on their public statements about Kaepernick and his protests. It is worth noting, however, that a report came out earlier this year that implied the Seahawks chose to move on from Kaepernick after he reportedly declined to stop kneeling.
