DeShawn Shead will finally rejoin his Legion of Boom squad after nearly a year away from the football field.
The Seattle Seahawks veteran corner announced on Twitter that he has been cleared to play ahead of Seattle's must-win game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
The Seahawks cleared an open spot on their 53-man roster this week, leaving the door open for Shead to be activated off the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list on Saturday.
Shead will rejoin his team for the first time this season after suffering a torn ACL in the Divisional Round playoff loss to Atlanta last January.
The 28-year-old has been making strides in his recovery and was cleared to return to practice nearly three weeks ago.
