SEATTLE -- Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson didn't have the biggest play of the game against the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 21 -- that honor goes to Marshawn Lynch and his 79-yard touchdown run. But Wilson's performance was impressive enough for him to earn the title of NFC offensive player of the week.
The quarterback's numbers: 20-of-31 passes for 339 yards and two touchdowns, and 88 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Wilson had a number of impressive plays, including 55-yard sprint, a touchdown run with a wicked stiff arm, and a pass to Luke Willson for an 80-yard touchdown.
So far this season, Wilson has thrown for 3,236 yards and run for 842 yards -- a rushing total that puts him 15th overall in the NFL.
This is the second time Wilson has been NFC offensive player of the week this season.
Yesterday, he was named an alternate for the Pro Bowl.
