Still 10 weeks of football left to play, but it’s never too early to figure out how the Seahawks’ playoff chances are looking following that really bizarre Sunday night game.
Let’s start with the battle for the NFC West.
What will the effect be from the Seahawks and Cardinals bizarre tie game? We won’t really know until the end of the season. It may help or hurt the ‘Hawks when it comes to tiebreakers for home field advantage. For now, it means they didn’t lose any ground in the division, which is always a good thing.
Before most of you got out of bed Sunday, the L.A. Rams lost to the New York Giants 17-10 in London. Rams quarterback Case Keenum threw four interceptions.
The San Francisco 49ers got off to a 14-0 lead on Tampa Bay before becoming the sad team we all know they are on the way to a 34-17 loss. We’re only at Week 7 and the 49ers season is over at 1-6.

The Seahawks got a huge boost in the battle for home field thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles. Philly handed the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season, 21-10.
For the second straight week, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan threw a fourth quarter interception while trying to protect a lead. And for the second straight week, the Falcons surrendered said lead on the way to a loss, 33-30 in overtime to the San Diego Chargers.
The New Orleans Saints once again put up a lot of offense, but two turnovers combined with their awful defense contributed to a 27-21 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Detroit Lions beat the Washington Redskins 20-17 on Matthew Stafford’s 18-yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin with 16 seconds to play.
The Packers beat the Bears in a really ugly football game Thursday night, 26-10. As with the Niners, the Bears are finished at 1-6.
This week’s NFC bye teams were the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys.
