SEATTLE — It took four weeks for the Seattle Seahawks to lose its first game of the season, a 42-29 barnburner on Monday Night Football to the Detroit Lions.
The New York Giants aren't likely to push the Seahawks in quite the same way.
Here's what you need to know about the Seahawks' Week 5 matchup on Sunday afternoon.
Game info
- Matchup: Seahawks (3-1) vs. Giants (1-3)
- Time: Sunday, 1:25 p.m. PST
- Location: Lumen Field, Seattle
- Key Seahawks: Geno Smith (QB), Kenneth Walker (RB), DK Metcalf (WR)

A nice bounce-back opportunity
Coming off a week in which the Seahawks allowed 42 points, the struggling New York Giants offense (30th in scoring) is just what the doctor ordered.
To make matters even better, the Giants could be without star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, who exited the game Sept. 26 with a concussion. Nabers, who is second in the National Football League (NFL) in receiving yards and first in catches, has not practiced this week, indicating he is on the wrong side of questionable for the matchup against the Seahawks.
Every NFL offense takes a big loss without its No. 1 receiver, but the effect is even more pronounced on a Giants team that has made Nabers the entire fulcrum of its attack.
Quite literally.
Nabers is responsible for 38% of Giants targets, 44% of its receiving yards and has three of just four receiving touchdowns caught by New York players.
New York was not a functioning offense with Nabers on the field. Imagine how it'll fare without Nabers dominating all over the field.
Game prediction
Seahawks 27, Giants 10.
A Nabers-less Giants team is no match for a Seahawks team looking to get back on the right track.
