NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The cardiac Seahawks struck again this week.

Trailing four points with under two minutes left, the Seattle Seahawks scored a late touchdown to seal a 20-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon.

Here are three takeaways from the Seahawks' comeback victory.

A case of deja vu

If you blinked and felt like you were experiencing deja vu this week, it's because you were. Like last week's dramatic win, the Seahawks were trailing 13-17, with the ball and needing a touchdown to take the lead.

Last week Drew Lock connected with rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba on a game-winning 29-yard touchdown to take a 20-17 lead. Twenty-eight seconds were remaining on the game clock when the Seahawks scored.

This week, Geno Smith connected with Colby Parkinson on a game-winning five-yard touchdown to take a 20-17 lead. Fifty-seven seconds were remaining on the game clock when the Seahawks scored.

It's not every day you see a team win with an identical score in consecutive weeks, much less winning in the exact same fashion.

Defense winning games

Even though it's a win, we can't come away with this game feeling good about the Seahawks' offense.

Seattle was inefficient in both phases of the game, averaging just 4.5 yards per play. The offense sputtered twice in the red zone early in the game, settling for field goals instead of touchdowns. Tennesee had more possession, too.

This was a grind-it-out, slow-paced game that was decided by the team that managed to make the most of its last possession.

Seahawks playoff picture

The Seahawks' latest victory pushed the team into the top seven in the NFC and a playoff spot if the postseason started today.

Here's how the NFC standings look in Week 16, pending the results of several games.

  1. San Francisco 49ers (11-3)
  2. Detroit Lions (11-4)
  3. Dallas Cowboys (10-4
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7)
  5. Philadelphia Eagles (10-4)
  6. Los Angeles Rams (8-7)
  7. Seattle Seahawks (8-7)
  8. Minnesota Vikings (7-8)
  9. Atlanta Falcons (7-8)
