How to watch Seattle Kraken's game against the Dallas Stars

The Kraken will be playing in its second road game of a three-game trip.

DALLAS — The Seattle Kraken face off against the Dallas Stars in its third game of the season on Sunday.

The game is taking place at 5 p.m. at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The game will be broadcast on KONG and the Kraken Hockey Network.

What to expect from the Kraken

The hope is the Kraken will return to its playoff form in 2022 under new coach, Dan Bylsma, who is taking over for Dave Hakstol. Bylsma has not coached in the NHL since the 2016-17 season but comes to Seattle after two highly successful seasons running the Kraken's AHL franchise in Coachella Valley.

Seattle spent big in free agency signing center Chandler Stephenson and defenseman Brandon Montour fresh off winning the Stanley Cup with Florida. Montour should be an immediate boost on the blue line and former first-round pick Shane Wright has a chance to become a regular in the lineup after a strong season playing for Bylsma at Coachella Valley in the AHL.

What to expect from the Stars

The Stars went to the Western Conference Final in each of Head Coach Peter DeBoer's first two seasons and were the top seed before losing Game 6 at Edmonton last spring.

Captain Jamie Benn is 35 and in the final season of his contract. Benn was one of their eight 20-goal scorers last season, and the only one not back is 40-year-old Joe Pavelski, who retired after 18 seasons without winning a Stanley Cup.

Their top goal scorer last season was 21-year-old Wyatt Johnston, and 25-year-old Jason Robertson has been the top overall scorer each of the past two seasons. With Oettinger in net, the Stars should be set up for another deep postseason run.
