PARIS, France — The Paris Olympics are finally here: The spectacular Opening Ceremony is over and the competition is about to get underway. 

Saturday is the first full official day of competition, and there are medals on the line in multiple events, including skateboarding, rugby and fencing. 

You can watch two Washington athletes, swimmer Matt King and equestrian Adrienne Lyle, compete at the links below.

Washington swimmer Matt King is competing for Team USA in the men’s 400-meter freestyle relay. This summer is the 22-year-old's Olympics debut.

Washington's Adrienne Lyle is competing in the equestrian event Saturday. She competed previously in the 2012 and 2020 Olympic Games in Dressage and won a silver medal in Tokyo in the team event. Lyle, who grew up on Whidbey Island, will be riding Helix for the first time in an Olympic Games.
