Olympics primetime coverage begins an hour earlier tonight at 7 p.m., so make sure your in front of your TV or computer.

  • Jamaica’s electrifying Usain Bolt goes for his third straight gold medal in the 100 meters and the title of “Fastest Man in the World.” Americans Justin Gatlin and Trayvon Bromell will try to unseat him.
  • Simone Biles and tries to pick up her third gold medal of these Games as the individual event finals in gymnastics begins. Biles will compete on the vault and teammates Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian are on the uneven bars.
  • Shut out of the medal stand in the team and all-around competitions, American Alexander Naddour tries to make the podium on the pommel horse while Sam Mikulak and Jacob Dalton compete on the floor.
  • American LaShawn Merritt will be in Lane 5 when he runs for a medal in the 400 meters.
  • And a champion will be crowned in Women’s 3-meter springboard diving.
