SEATTLE — The ownership group behind the Seattle Reign FC and Seattle Sounders FC announced Thursday that a new face will be joining its executive team.

Courtney Carter has been appointed as the chief revenue officer, bringing over 22 years of sports entertainment and media experience to the teams, according to the ownership group.

Carter has experience in the NBA, WNBA, MLS, Soccer United Marketing, ESPN and her own media group.

Carter will spearhead corporate partnerships, ticket sales, and development opportunities at the Providence Swedish Performance Center & Clubhouse.

"Returning to the Pacific Northwest is a bit of a full-circle moment as it is where I fell in love with the game and learned so many life lessons along the way. To say I am a product of PNW soccer is something that I am proud of, knowing it is where some of the greatest players to ever play were born and raised," said Carter. "I can’t wait to be a part of these two historic championship clubs and their dedicated communities.”

Carter was born and raised in Portland.
