SEATTLE — While there's still a lot to sort out in the WNBA offseason -- expansion draft, free agency, and league draft -- we do know the Seattle Storm's 2025 schedule.
Released this week, the schedule has expanded to 44 games this season, which means fans will have 22 chances to see the Storm play at home.
Highlights from the schedule include home games against the Indiana Fever in June and August, hosting Western Conference powerhouse Las Vegas twice in the first month, and closing out the season with four home games to put themselves in position for a playoff run.
The Storm open the season with games on the road against Phoenix on May 17 and Dallas on May 19, before returning for their home opener against Phoenix on May 23.
Watching Rookie of Year Caitlin Clark has become one of the hottest tickets in the league. Clark, Aliyah Boston and the rest of the Fever will be in Seattle on June 24 and Aug. 3. Seattle will also travel to face them on Aug. 26 as part of a five game road trip.
Former Seattle Storm star and reigning WNBA champion Breanna Stewart will face Seattle three times, including games at Climate Pledge on June 22 and Sept. 5.
The Storm will take on the Western Conference powerhouse Las Vegas and league MVP Aja Wilson four times, with two home games coming early in the season on May 25 and June 1.
The WNBA All-Star weekend is July 18-19 in Indianapolis.
The Storm said in a release that single game tickets will go on sale sometime in the spring.
What could happen with Seattle's roster in 2025
Three of Seattle's stars are under contract for the 2025 season: guard Jewell Loyd, center Ezi Magbegor and point guard Skylar Diggins-Smith. Forward Jordan Horston and guard Nika Muhl, who is currently recovering from surgery on her ACL, are both on rookie scale contracts, which are unprotected.
The rest of the team is unrestricted free agents headed into the offseason. That includes Nneka Ogwumike, who seemed to imply in an offseason interview on Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe's podcast that she'd like to stay in Seattle. Olympic silver medalist Gabby Williams, who signed with Seattle after competing in Paris, is also a big name free agent.
In addition, the Storm can only protect six players in the expansion draft Friday for the Golden State Valkyries, which could mean roster impacts before free agency gets underway in February. Golden State will be able to select one available player from each of the other 12 teams.
