Dozens of orcas were photographed traveling through the Salish Sea this week.
On Friday, the Pacific Whale Watch Association spotted over 50 Bigg's orcas swimming in the San Juan Islands and the Strait of Georgia.
According to the group, five families gathered in the San Juan Islands, each with a calf under the age of two.
Bigg's orcas are mammal-eating orcas. The PWWA says they're "thriving in the same waters as the salmon-eating Southern Residents."
