AUBURN, Wash. — A wrong-way driver died after causing a crash on State Route 18 at SE 304th Street in Auburn Tuesday night.
The driver of another vehicle involved was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson.
A separate two-car crash occurred as drivers attempted to avoid the deadly crash.
Washington State Patrol said one lane was closed in each direction and that closure was expected to last for an extended period of time. The roadway appeared to be open by 9 p.m.
