Pedestrian dies after being struck by semi-truck on SR 167 near Algona

All lanes of SR 167 were blocked for a period of time on Nov. 1 due to a collision involving a semi-truck and a pedestrian.

ALGONA, Wash. — A pedestrian died on Wednesday after they were struck by a semi-truck on state Route 167, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Lanes on state Route 167 were blocked near Algona due to the collision north of Ellingson Road near milepost 13 after noon on Wednesday

The pedestrian died at Harborview Medical Center after being airlifted from the scene of the collision in Algona. 

WSP reports the semi-truck driver showed no signs of impairment and the agency is investigating why the pedestrian entered the roadway, Trooper Rick Johnson posted on social media.
