FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Pacific Highway in Federal Way on Monday morning.
The crash occurred on the 37300 block of Pacific Highway S. just before 9:30 a.m. Federal Way Police Department Commander Kurt Schwan said the crash involved a semi-truck, a sedan, and a small SUV.
The sedan and SUV appear to have gone off the road into a ditch. The cars had severe damage.
The roadway was closed for an “extended period of time” while authorities conducted their investigation.
South King Fire said one person died at the scene. Two other people and a puppy were treated for injuries and transported to local hospitals.
It appears those injuries are non-life threatening.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
