KENMORE, Wash. — One person is dead and another person is critically injured after what Kenmore police are calling a "serious" single-vehicle crash Sunday.
The crash occurred near the intersection of 61st Avenue and Bothell Way around 7 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that a single vehicle had veered off the south side of Northeast Bothell Way and was entangled with the guard rail. The driver and passenger were both trapped in the car and had to be extricated, according to Northshore Fire.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center. The passenger suffered critical bodily injuries.
The King County Sheriff's Office Major Accident Response & Reconstruction Detectives responded.
The accident is still currently under investigation by the King County Sheriff's Office.
