SEATAC, Wash. — Traffic was backed up for miles Monday night after a stuck semi-truck shut down arrivals drive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
The truck first got stuck at around 7 p.m. Arrivals drive reopened around 10 p.m. Traffic stemming from the closure was backed up for miles onto State Route 518, reaching all the way back to Interstate 5.
The semi-truck entered arrivals and was unable to drive further due to the height of the pedestrian sky bridges above, according to the airport.
No structures were hit, but traffic remained congested for hours while the semi-truck was stuck.
