TUKWILA, Wash. — Two people were injured after two cars became trapped under a semi-truck in Tukwila.
Firefighters responded to the accident at West Valley Highway and Interstate 405 in Tukwila at around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
One person had to be extricated from their car and was discovered to have serious injuries from the crash. They were taken to a Seattle-area hospital.
Another patient was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital by ambulance, according to the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority.
The on and off ramps on northbound I-405 at State Route 181 in Tukwila are partially blocked due to the collision, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Drivers are asked to use alternate exits.
