SEATTLE — Beginning Saturday, Sound Transit's Link light rail will see service disruptions for the rest of the month as crews work on track maintenance in downtown Seattle.
According to Sound Transit, 1 Line trains will only run every 26 minutes between Northgate and Angle Lake on weekdays. Additional weekday trains will be available between Northgate and the University of Washington and between Stadium and Angle Lake, for a combined service every 13 minutes.
Sound Transit cautioned travelers who board stations outside of Capitol Hill or downtown will need to stay alert to which train they choose. They said travelers may want to wait for the full-service train. If they ride on the additional train service they would have to wait 13 minutes to transfer to the full service train.
Trains will run every 15 minutes on weekends between Northgate and Capitol Hill and between SODO and Angle Lake. Bus shuttles will replace train service between the Capitol Hill and SODO stations, as well as all closed stations. The bus shuttles will run every 10-15 minutes. You can find a Link shuttle bus map here.
The maintenance work and service disruptions are expected to be completed by Sunday, Feb. 4.
