Saturday will be 180 days since Seattle has hit 70, but that streak is in jeopardy this weekend.

Another slow moving weather pattern is taking shape over the Northwest that will bring some of the nicest, warmest weather of the year. Many areas will reach the 70s and parts of Oregon will even reach into 80s.

As the jetstream lifts north, a strong ridge of high pressure will move overhead, providing late Spring-like conditions. A slow-moving low pressure system just south of Denver, Colorado, will keep the ridge in place and block the typical west-to-east flow pattern.

Upslope winds will drop several feet of snow on the eastern side of the Colorado Rockies and downtown Denver may pick up an inch or two. That's nothing unusual; their record snowfall for today is 8.5 inches.

This warm stretch will likely spell the end of the ski season for several resorts. Stevens Pass ended its season Thursday, while Crystal and Baker are open until Sunday. If you're heading up for one last run, make sure to bring some sunscreen.

After four to five days in the sun, we'll see more active, showery weather return by the middle of next week.
