Magnitude 2.5 earthquake recorded near North Bend

NORTH BEND, Wash. — A magnitude 2.5 earthquake shook near North Bend shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The epicenter of the earthquake, recorded at a depth of 3.48 miles, was about 12 miles north-northeast from North Bend and about 10.5 miles east of Carnation.

The quake was initially recorded as a magnitude 3, before it was reviewed by a seismologist.
