SEATTLE — A weather system that moved through western Washington Saturday brought heavy rain and strong winds, causing power outages in many communities.
A National Weather Service-issued Wind Advisory expired at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Winds picked up for the interior areas ahead of a front that increased behind it, similar to Thursday's storm.
Puget Sound Energy is experiencing 11 active outages impacting 2,658 customers as of 10:30 a.m., according to its outage map. According to the map, the areas south of Cougar Mountain have been most impacted.
Seattle City Light and Snohomish County Public Utility District customers also experienced outages on Saturday but have since been resolved.
As many as 6,000 customers experienced power outages around western Washington on Saturday.
