New images released of man accused of killing 3 people in Skagit County

Law enforcement has yet to locate 50-year-old Jason Birman. He has been missing since Aug. 9.

CONCRETE, Wash. — The U.S. Marshals Service released new photos of a man wanted for allegedly killing three people and is asking the public for help finding him.

Jason Birman, 50, has been missing since Aug. 9

Birman is accused of killing three people: his wife, 52-year-old Erin Birman; her 19-year-old son, Taylor Dawson; and his 18-year-old girlfriend, Jillian Whitney Van Boven. The Skagit County Coroner’s Office determined all three victims had been shot, which contributed to their deaths.

Their bodies were found in what was left of a burned down home in Skagit County on state Route 530 near Concrete. He is wanted for three counts of second-degree murder.

The U.S. Marshals-led Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force is assisting the Mount Vernon Police Department. An award totaling $15,000 is being offered for information leading to Birman's arrest.

Birman is now 50 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

Whitney Van Boven's mother, Gurubani Whitney Young, told KING 5 Wednesday she is still processing the devastating loss.

"One of the most precious beings in my entire life has been taken away. No matter what I do each day to try and find balance and get my footing back, there's always a beautiful memory that makes me cry. I look at something and I think, 'I should get that for my daughter,' 'I should bring her a smile,' I should do something but she's not here to do those things for," Whitney Young said. "My daughter, my sweet, beautiful daughter, is gone because some piece of ---- took her life from me."

Anyone who has had contact with him or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-926-8332, submit a tip here, or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
