FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Federal Way police said they arrested a homicide suspect Wednesday they believe to be responsible for a pair of shootings earlier this week.
Days after the homicide on March 18, detectives said they arrested a 52-year-old man from Federal Way who they believe was responsible for both shootings. He was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder, according to police.
Police said one of the shootings happened at the Sea Mar Federal Way Medical Clinic on 18th Avenue South just after midnight. A man was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene after medics arrived.
Shortly after the first shooting, police said officers were dispatched to the Southridge House on 14th Avenue South after another man was reportedly shot. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in unknown condition.
The shootings were roughly a mile apart.
