ISSAQUAH, Wash — State Route 18 is back open from Interstate 90 to Issaquah-Hobart Road following a full closure Thursday evening.
Winter weather conditions caused spinouts and collisions on the roadway, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. It is unknown if were are any injuries.
SR 18 closed around 4:30 p.m. It reopened shortly after 6 p.m.
Chains are required on all vehicles except all-wheel drive if you're traveling over Tiger Mountain.
The closure comes as much of western Washington is experiencing an arctic front. Snow fell around much of the region and temperatures are continuing to drop. Highs on Friday and Saturday will stay in the low to mid 20s.
If you're heading to the mountains, make sure to check pass conditions as closures are possible and chains may be required at times.
The Washington State Department of Transportation may close one direction or both directions of a pass if severe weather or collisions warrant a closure.
